Wireless Networking

Wireless networking or Wi-Fi can be a good choice for a home network. The network consists of several key components:

  • The DSL or Cable modem supplied by you service provider.
  • A Wireless Router with a Firewall to help protect your network and keep unwanted intruders out.
  • Wireless Receivers usually built-in to your laptop or USB add-ons for your desktops.

As broadband internet access becomes more accessible and inexpensive, wireless home networking has become a reasonable alternative to crawling into your attic or foundation and running CAT5 cable.

You can connect a wireless router to your cable, DSL or other broadband internet service and you can start sharing the high speed internet over a wireless LAN.

Setup your own Wi-Fi hot spots at home for family and guest use.

Our Wi-Fi installation services extend to all equipment that we sell including:

  • Wi-Fi wireless LAN system installation.
  • Wireless video surveillance system installation.
  • Router Wi-Fi network installation.
  • Luxury home, MDU/MTU, and hospitality Wi-Fi network installation.
  • Warehouse and manufacturing wireless 802.11 network installation.

You must make sure that you secure your wireless network!

Hackers drive around and search for unsecured wireless networks. With the right tools they can gain access to your network and hack your information.

Don't let this happen to you!

Recommendations:
      • Use authentication and data encryption.
      • Change the wireless access point’s default wireless network name.
      • Do not use non-broadcast wireless networks.
      • Do not use media access control (MAC) address filtering.
      • Do not use shared key authentication.
