You sure do!
If your system is unprotected and you go on the internet, your system will be infected within ten minutes. You may not even know it’s infected. Your system could be a zombie doing the bidding of some no-good hacker, or stealing your passwords!

What do I need?
We recommend an Anti-virus program that is quick and light-weight, like Nod32, AVG or Avast. They won't bog down your system and they scan your computer quickly.

Stay away from big “Security Suites” that say they “Do it all”. Examples of this would be Norton or McAfee Internet Security. These programs slow your computer down to a crawl.

The most important thing to do is to update you protection daily! Without this no anti-virus program will keep you safe.

What about Spyware?
Spyware or Malware can be just as bad as a virus on your computer. You need a good Spyware scanner to keep your computer running smoothly.

They often block things that you want, like shared printers or shared drive on your other computer if they are not configured correctly. The bottom line is to make sure you have a firewall installed on every computer!
